Castillo Arquitectos joined forces with Gehl, the renowned Danish urban design consultancy founded by Jan Gehl, to develop the Palmerola Master Plan: a new mixed-use urban district in the heart of Honduras.
The collaboration paired Gehl’s focus on human scale and public space with Castillo Arquitectos’ deep knowledge of the local context, regulations, and development dynamics of the region, shaping a place where everyday life is the starting point of the design.
Palmerola is a one-of-a-kind development cluster in the region, set alongside Palmerola International Airport, Honduras’ new gateway to the world.
